Stavroula was born in Piraeus, Greece. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Sapienza Università di Roma (Faculty of Law) and she has also attended postgraduate studies in Marine Insurance at the above University. Stavroula is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court, while throughout her 25-year legal experience she has acquired a deep practical insight into the areas of Civil, Administrative, General Commercial and Corporate Law.
She has been also involved in shipping litigations matters, especially in salvage and towage claims, ship arrests and judicial sales of vessels and other off-shore assets. Apart from the aforementioned specialization areas, she is also experienced in Criminal Law, having devoted a considerable part of her practice into criminal litigation proceedings before Greek courts, ranging from white-collar crimes to tax evasion, in particular. Stavroula speaks Greek, English and Italian.
